NEW RULES FOR USAGE

  1. All patrons must know and follow all rules.
  2. Stay home if you are sick or anyone in your household has any cold, flu or COVID-19 symptoms, you have travelled outside of Canada or have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
  3. Come prepared – wear workout clothes and bring a full water bottle as there will be no access to change rooms or washrooms.
  4. Stay a minimum two metres away from others to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
  5. All access requires a reservation and must be booked in advance using our online booking system.
  6. Canoe Club will be open 5 days a week (Wednesday to Sunday).
    Hours are 8am to 11am and 4pm to 9pm

    • Only Residents with confirmed bookings will have key FOB access.
    • Each Resident attending MUST use their own key FOB to enter (do not hold the door open for anyone).

    Booking parameters:

    • 3 treadmills, 4 bikes, and 2 ellipticals have been moved into the gymnasium and are spaced accordingly.
    • Bookings are on a per-time slot and per-equipment basis. For example, a Resident will book time slot A, treadmill #1. Residents may only use the equipment they have booked for the allotted time slot.
    • Bookings will allow for a Maximum of 4-5 people in the gymnasium to use cardio equipment at any given time.
    • Max 2 people in the weight room at any given time.
    • Maximum of 1 household in hot tub.
    • Weight room and equipment can only be booked on alternating time slots to allow for cleaning.
    • Residents may make 2 coordinating bookings to allow for people to split their time between cardio and weight room during one time slot if desired. 2 separate bookings must be made.
    • The hot tub cannot be booked in back-to-back time slots with the gym or weight room. As there are no showering facilities available, bookings for the gym and hot tub must be booked at least one (1) hour apart. Any back-to-back bookings with the hot tub will be cancelled.
    • If you cannot attend your booking, cancellations must be made a minimum of 24 hours before scheduled booking.
    • Failure to cancel your booking, or any bookings cancelled within 24 hours of your booking, will be considered a no show. Multiple no shows will results in a temporary suspension of your account and your units use of the canoe club.
    • Once a cancellation is complete, you will receive a cancellation email. If you do not receive a cancellation email, please contact the canoe club directly.
    • Bookings cannot be transferred to another resident outside of your unit. You must cancel your booking and have the other unit re-book for the desired time slot.
    • Residents must read and accept all rules prior to booking.
  7. Bathrooms, changerooms, showers will be CLOSED.
  8. Residents are to use the disinfecting spray bottles BEFORE and AFTER use of equipment.
  9. Masks are mandatory when entering, exiting or moving between rooms while in the Canoe Club but not when using the equipment.
  10. Residents Only. Absolutely no visitors or guests, until further notice.
  11. No food. Bottled water only and do not leave water bottles, take empties when you leave.
  12. Hot tub limit 1 household.
    1. Music, radio, or any sound equipment is permitted only if earphones are used.
    2. Smoking/vaping any substance are not permitted. Under no circumstances is the consumption of alcohol permitted.
  13. Residents must vacate immediately and without incident once their time slot ends. This is strictly enforced.
  14. Residents using the common facilities do so at their own risk.
  15. The management committee may update or modify the rules as necessary. The Canoe Club is not liable and will not be held responsible for anyone becoming ill as a result of using the common facility.
  16. The management committee reserves the right to close the facilities should there be any reports of disturbances, illness, or non-compliance to social distancing.
  17. Any violation of any of the facility rules or confrontational behavior towards the resident caretakers, or other residents, will result in immediate suspension of facility use for 3 months.
